The Story Behind the Production
A Powerful Passion Play That Has Touched Thousands
Several years ago, a powerful passion play titled “The Day That Changed the World” was written by one of our own.
The production brings to life the crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.
When the play was first presented, the response was overwhelming. Because of the powerful impact it had on audiences, the production was performed more than 18 times, and through those performances over one thousand people gave their lives to Jesus Christ.
The performances were unforgettable. Satin Chalk, who portrayed Jesus, delivered a deeply moving performance that touched many hearts.
Willie G. Sanderfield, who played the role of Peter, helped transition the production from a stage performance into a moment of ministry, leading audiences into a powerful altar call where many people came forward to surrender their lives to Christ.
One of the most powerful moments in the production comes just before the crucifixion. As Jesus prepares to face the cross, He turns to Peter and says:
"You don't understand what I am doing now, but later you will."
That moment reminds us that even when we do not fully understand God's plan, His purpose is always unfolding.
